Michael Sullivan is a musician and a songwriter, author of countless hits from Brazilian pop music. Several of his compositions had become telenovelas’ themes, and he is also the writer of “Me Dê Motivo”, most known in the voice of Tim Maia, and “Whisky a Go Go”, performed by the band Roupa Nova. His success, with partner Paulo Massadas, is so great, that they both reached the second place of ECAD’s top royalties collectors, losing only to Erasmo Carlos e Roberto Carlos. Sullivan has entered the Guinness Book of Records, with the biggest number of songs recorded in Latin America. With an extensive repertory of romantic music and songs for children, he has written 70% of the songs for “Trem da Alegria”. He has over 1000 works, 500 of them being absolute hits, performed by singers such as José Augusto, Leandro e Leonardo (“Talismã”), Xuxa (“Chocolate” and “Lua de Cristal”, among others), Rosana, Zezé di Camargo e Luciano, Elimar Santos, Gal Costa (“Um Dia de Domingo”), Alcione (“Estranha Loucura”, “Nem Morta”), Tim Maia, Fafá de Belém, Fagner (“Deslizes”), Sandra de Sá (“Joga Fora no Lixo”), among others. Sullivan was invited by Sony Latina to live in Miami and produce for artists such as Rick Martin and Menudos.
